Since I was a kid, I trained myself on tales of heroes carving evil off the face of the world, one duel at a time. I thought I could work towards that power and smite those who become monsters. But there are so many of them, banding together and smiting innocents for the crime of existing. I’m realizing that monsters were never the size of us, but tower over continents, and I wonder if direct combat was a naive dream. /Can/ innocents really be saved by purging the world of abusers?

No. But it can be saved by protecting the innocent. Life before Death, my friend. You’ll come closer to the brighter day you dreamed of as a child by protecting those who need you before prioritizing vengeance.

Because every person you shield, you help up, is one more person to take up the quest, to take from your example and spread its influence in the world around you. Through this, I believe the world will be saved, by reminding the world that decency is real and we can rise to the occasion. Have faith in that Light.
